Welcome to extended access at High Country Fitness.

We are proud to offer members access to our facility from 4am – 11pm, 7 days per week, with staffed hours operating 7am – 7pm Monday to Saturday.

Extended access is a privilege offered to members and comes with important responsibilities. By using unstaffed access, you agree to follow all terms, conditions, rules and safety requirements outlined below.

Members use the facility during unstaffed hours at their own risk and are expected to exercise appropriate care, judgment and personal responsibility at all times.

  1. Access Hours & Entry

Your fob is also your check in system and must be used every single time you enter the facility, including during staffed hours.

This allows us to maintain an accurate register of members on site for safety, emergency and insurance purposes.

Important:

  • One fob = One member
  • Fobs are non transferable
  • You must never use another member’s fob
  • You must never allow another person to enter using your fob

  • Barbell bench press is not permitted when training alone
  • Safety bars must always be used for barbell squats and Smith machine squats when training alone
  • Supportive and protective footwear is strongly recommended at all times, please be mindful of hygiene and risk of injury from dropped weights or equipment.

If training alone, please use good judgment and avoid unnecessary risk.

  1. Equipment Rules

Please treat all equipment with respect.

Equipment misuse creates safety risks and causes unnecessary damage.

Dumbbells

Please place dumbbells down gently and with control.

Dropping dumbbells damages equipment and causes rubber heads to loosen over time.

Barbells & Squat Cages

  • Collars must be used on all free bars at all times
  • Olympic lifts should not be dropped from above knee height
  • Controlled lowering from below the knees is expected

This protects:

  • Equipment
  • Flooring
  • Other members
  • Businesses located below the gym

Cable Machines

Cable attachments must be used at all times on cable machines.

Failure to use attachments shortens cable life and may cause cables to snap prematurely.

Pin Loaded Machines

Never add extra weight to entire weight stacks, Adding extra weight places dangerous strain on cables and machine systems.

Always ensure pins are fully inserted into the weight plate

  1. Cleanliness & Gym Etiquette

Please respect the facility and other members.

We ask all members to:

  • Use towels on benches and equipment where possible
  • Wipe equipment down after use
  • Return all equipment to its proper place
  • Keep equipment areas clean and tidy

Sweat, oils and poor care reduce the lifespan of benches and equipment.

Help us keep High Country Fitness clean, professional and enjoyable for everyone.
